LEARNING OUTCOMES/STANDARDS

Upon successful completion of this module, adult learners will be able to:

  • Understand organizational concepts, including boundaries and environments, mission, structure, relationships, rewards, power, and procedures, using systems theory.
  • Understand implementation and management of change in organizations, including systemic and multiple causes of problems and systemic impact of decisions, as well as force-field analysis.
  • Apply concepts of systems theory, problem-solving, and decision-making in general, to the preparation of your Research Project.
  • Use a systems model to examine your organization.
  • Recognize major theorists and researchers involved in the development of systems theory in management and organizations.
