Description:
Texas College is a four-year, coeducational, private, liberal arts institution. It is located in Tyler, Texas, less than 2 hours from Dallas and Shreveport. Its mission is to ensure that graduates experience a balanced intellectual, psycho-social, and spiritual development aimed at making them active and productive members of society. The College offers baccalaureate degree programs in: Art, Biology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, English, History, Interdisciplinary Studies, Liberal Studies, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Political Science, Religious Studies, Social Work and Sociology.
Associate degrees are offered in Early Childhood Education and General Studies.
The College invites applications for faculty positions in the following divisions (full-time and adjunct):
Division of Natural & Computational Science: Biology, Chemistry (Ph.D. preferred), Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics
Division of General Studies and Humanities: English, History, Music, Physical Education, Reading, Spanish, Speech
Division of Education: Education, Reading
Division of Business and Social Sciences: Business Administration, Political Science, Sociology
Eligible candidates should possess a master’s or doctoral degree in the teaching field or a master’s or doctoral degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching field; Ph.D. preferred. The College is especially interested in faculty with expertise in distance learning.
